In 721BC the ten northern tribes of the Israelites were taken into exile. They have disappeared into the mists of history. (Although many legends speak of their fate. For example, the Lemba people of south Africa claim to be descendents.) One hundred plus years later the tribe of Judah was taken into exile. We know them today as the Jews. What was the difference? Why were the ten tribes lost and the Judahites endured. Hope. The prophet Ezekiel gave the exiles hope that enabled them to hold on until their change came. I will take you away from among the nations,
gather you from all the foreign lands, and bring you back to your own land. Hold onto hope no matter what. God isn’t finished!
