AUGUST32017

August 3, 2017 By Church Staff

Moses did “as the Lord had commanded.” All believers seek to follow the commands of God. When the commands are straightforward like “put up the tent pole” you can get a sense of accomplishment at a job well done. But the way to follow the commands of Jesus are not always as obvious. How to “love you neighbor” takes discernment at times. And did Jesus really mean we are supposed to “turn the other cheek?” Seems like a recipe for getting walked over. All of which serves as a reminder of the importance of prayer. We need to bring the real life situations where we find ourselves into prayerful dialogue with the commands of Jesus. Only in prayer will we learn God’s will for us.
