Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect hospitality … Be mindful of prisoners … Let marriage be honored among all … Let your life be free from love of money … Remember your leaders. For the past few weeks we have been reading from the Letter to the Hebrews. The author (probably not St. Paul) stresses over and over the importance of faith — that faith alone saves. However, as the letter comes to an end the author lists some behaviors that should characterize a faith-filled person. This is a reminder that while our actions do not earn us God’s grace and love because we have God’s grace and love we need to act in ways that reflect the presence of God in our hearts.
