We should not stay away from our assembly, as is the custom of some, but encourage one another. Of course we have all be condemned to stay away from the assembly during the pandemic. How we yearn for the day when we can once again gather as a community and raise our voices in joyful praise. In the assembly we find support, friendship, encouragement, hope. There is one other thing we will need to recover once we can gather again — forgiveness. One of the great gifts of being a church is that we gather with others who are different than we are and those differences sometimes lead to disagreements. Being willing to forgive helps to cement the relationships we possess as a community.
