JULY72016

July 7, 2016 By Church Staff

The prophet Hosea is part of a tradition that finds the presence of God in the realities of human life. A mother caring for her child, making sure the child is fed, even holding the child up to her cheek becomes for the prophet the image of God caring for the people of Israel. Often we can imagine that we will find God in some “mountaintop” experience or on some kind of special spiritual quest. The prophetic tradition teaches us that all we need do is look around us. During our prayer this day let us look around at the circumstances of our daily life and see there the love and the mercy of God at work.
