Go to see The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. — the story of a loving family who are excited because the father has gotten a big promotion. However, the promotion is to run a Nazi death camp. The movie is terrifying because it shows how a good, family man is capable of monstrous evil. That lies behind the parable of Jesus: “There was a rich man … and lying at his door was a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores.” He is condemned to hell not because he violated any of the Ten Commandments but because he did not notice the suffering right in front of him.
