NOVEMBER292017

November 29, 2017 By Church Staff

The expression in English “the writing is on the wall” has its roots in the story from the Book of Daniel. It means a warning of impending problems. Because of global warming the writing is on the wall about rising sea levels. Because of increasing partisanship the writing is on the wall about government inaction. Because of Renew My Church the writing is on the wall about changes in the Archdiocese. There are no doubt personal wall writings that serve as a warning. Of course the one piece of writing on the wall is that we are all going to die. We heed that particular warning when we live each day in light of the fact that this life is preparation for the next.
