Dan Murphy

Dan comes to us from Cleveland, Ohio where he worked as a church musician and private piano instructor. He has been a professional musician since 1995, working as a musician for Walt Disney Entertainment, Princess Cruises, and touring extensively with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Most recently, Dan has worked as a freelance jazz pianist accompanying jazz singers, playing in small and large instrumental jazz bands. He has performed with groups in a wide variety of musical styles including: jazz, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian pop/jazz, rock, pop, and gospel. Dan holds a master’s degree in Jazz studies from Youngstown State University and bachelor’s degree in Jazz studies from The University of Akron, where he also studied pipe organ.
