God can transform everything, even negative things, for some good end. We see this most dramatically on the cross where God transformed death into life. The scattering of the early followers of Jesus due to persecution in Jerusalem reported by the Acts of Apostles was, no doubt, perceived by them as negative. But God used that negative thing in order to spread the gospel message far and wide. The same is true with us. Things we perceived as negative, for example the decline in vocations to religious life and priesthood, God can use to promote a positive change in the Church. Our prayer today — look at the negative things in our life or family and discern what good God is bringing out of it.
