Jesus said, “I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.” If you google “life to the fullest” lots of websites come up with good advice — one site even offers 101 suggestions! “Live in the moment. Fully embrace the now, no matter what the situation. Do the things you love.” You get the idea. Jesus is not offering good advice. He is urging us to have a different perspective on what life is all about. We tend to limit our thinking about life to the given span of years allotted to these bodies of ours. More abundant life can be found when we understand that life includes the eternal as well as the temporal. True life is beyond our wildest hopes.
