I know next to nothing about physics but am fascinated by the discoveries in modern cosmology. As I understand it, in order to make sense of how the universe functions the scientists have postulated that there are aspects of reality they call “dark matter” and “dark energy.” They’ve never seen these entities, they don’t know what they are like, but the evidence suggests that they are there. Is that something like faith? The evidence of God’s presence in our lives suggests the divine existence. Jesus uses the analogy of wind as saying something about how God’s Spirit operates: “The wind blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes.”
