The movie, Good Will Hunting, the main character, Will, is a brilliant but troubled young man. He is in therapy to help him adjust better to life. He tells his therapist all of the abuse and suffering and trouble that characterized his life. The climax of the movie happens when the therapist, having build up sufficient rapport to be credible, says to Will, It’s not your fault. None of it is your fault. If he had said it earlier Will would not have been able to receive it. That was the right time for him to hear it. Jesus spoke of doing things at the right time in his ministry. His hour had not yet come. Jesus knew that the climax of his life, “his hour” as he called it, could only have the desired effect in the lives of his followers after they understood him as sent from God. “I am from him, and he sent me.” All that he said and did led up to the decisive moment of his suffering and death.
