The prophet Ezekiel is told by God to “migrate from where you live to another place.” This displacement in geography will provide a lesson for the people of God. The gospel writers are also sensitive to geography. “Jesus left Galilee
and went to the district of Judea across the Jordan.” The prophet action of Jesus being on the way to Jerusalem where he will face his suffering and death is meant to serve as a lesson for us. No matter what our geography we are on a similar journey, a journey which challenges us to follow the will of God wherever it might lead. As the parable of the unforgiving servant illustrates a major part of that journey includes forgiving our debtors “from his heart.”
