For the next two weeks the readings are taken from the first eleven chapters of the Book of Genesis. The Bible begins with the story (actually two stories) of creation. You might join the 300,000+ people who attend the Creation Museum in Kentucky. It is dedicated the demonstrating that everything was created about 6,000 years ago in a six day period. The mistaken notion behind that museum lies in thinking that the Biblical story is about HOW creation came about. The Biblical author was actually telling us WHY creation happened. The first chapter of Genesis insists over and over that God created everything and everything God created is good. Evil does not have a natural place in God’s creation but is an aberration to be overcome.
