Driving 56 miles an hour would be something like a sin in this understanding. Repenting from sin would involve following the rule! But sin in the Bible is about a relationship, a relationship with God and with others. That is why repenting of sin involves repairing relationships, particularly with those most in need. Our practice during Lent should include reaching out to those who are hurting.
