“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.” If you are anything like me you worry about your family members and loved ones who aren’t believers. The Faith is so important to me I suppose that they are missing something essential. These words of Jesus serve as a reminder that having your name in the believer’s book is not what matters most. Doing the will of God matters — acting with love and compassion and forgiveness and generosity. Even if someone does not say “Lord, Lord,” is not signed up, living as God intends will provide for them a way to get into the kingdom.
