Walk With Christ This Lent
Take Part in These Special Opportunities,
Beyond Weekly Worship,
Created to Deepen Faith and Unite Our Parish Community!
Lent at St. James is a sacred opportunity for our community to grow deeper in faith and renewal. This year, we invite you to our Lenten Retreat on Saturday, March 7th, themed “Come to the Water: The Woman at the Well,” reminding us of our call to conversion and the living water of Christ. We will also gather weekly for Stations of the Cross, followed by a Lenten movie reflection (except the first week). Join us for this meaningful season of prayer and reflection.
Lenten Bible Study-The History of the Bible
The Biblical story plays out against the reality of the ancient world. The Chosen People situated themselvesl against mighty empires that sought to exploit the resouces of Palestine. Political, social, cultural and military realities shaped the life of the Jewish people for almost two thousand years from the call of Abraham to the destruction of the nation by the Romans. What lessons can does Israel teach us about being faithful to God in a hostile world?
This Lent, we invite you to deepen your faith through our annual Lenten Bible Study, offered as an opportunity for prayer, learning, and reflection during this sacred season. Register to receive a Zoom Link!
