Judas, not the Iscariot, said to him, “Master, then what happened that you will reveal yourself to us and not to the world?” In response that question Jesus talked about loving him and keeping his word and the love of God and the gift of the Spirit. I can only picture Judas, not the Iscariot, scratching his head and saying “huh?” Often in the gospels (particularly in St. John) when Jesus is asked a question he goes off on what seems to be a tangent instead of answering directly. By doing so, Jesus stresses the importance of asking the right quesion. So often in life we ask questions wihout answers like “why did this happen” when we should ask “what can I do?”
