The last prayer of Jesus before entering his passion was for unity. I pray… that they may all be one. We should get over the idea that oneness, unity means everyone thinking alike or acting alike or even praying alike. The most casual glance at creation shows that God loves diversity. An analogy to help understand the oneness Jesus prays for might be an ecosystem. You need bugs and trees and flowers and birds and animals to have a healthy ecosystem. When they are in the right balance a unity is created; when part of the ecosystem is stressed the unity is threatened. Jesus prays that we find a spiritual ecosystem where each component of society gives their contribution to create a unified whole.
