A few years ago there was a movie called The Gods Must Be Crazy. It begins in a small village in Africa. The people are poor but they work together in mutual support. One day a single engine plane flying overhead drops an empty coke bottle that falls into the village. Pretty soon the villagers are fighting over it. Since there is only one bottle they all want it. The village elder decides the gods are crazy to have introduced this source of envy in the community and decides to give it back to the gods. The movie is an illustration of the truth in the Epistle of James. “Where the conflicts among you come from? Your passions — you envy but you cannot obtain.”
