St. Paul was a guy with vision. You can picture him telling his companions his plans. However, often in the Book of Acts we read that his plans were thwarted. “They had been prevented by the Holy Spirit. “The Spirit of Jesus did not allow them.” Thwarted plans were not signs of failure for Paul but the Holy Spirit closing one door in order to open another. When I look at my own life the same is true. Once, when I was fired from a job it was a great disappointment … but I soon found myself exactly where I needed to be. The rejection was a blessing. Can you see the Holy Spirit working in your life in the midst of your disappointments as well?
