Paul had a vision during which he heard, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” In the list of cities Paul visited in the Acts of the Apostles this might seem just another. Actually, this indicates a major shift in the emphasis of the Jesus movement — entry into Europe. What drove the missionary zeal of Paul and the other apostles into the whole world? Love. They had something, faith in Jesus, which people desperately needed for their happiness. Since they loved them, they felt compelled to bring faith to them. Think of the recent hurricane disaster in Puerto Rico. Relatives in the States did all they could to help those they loved. Missionaries operate with the same motivation delivering the real life-saving remedy of faith!
