MAY52023

May 5, 2023 By Church Staff

In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. There is a story about J.J. going to heaven. St. Peter was happy to admit him but first wanted to show him around. The first dwelling place they came to was filled with Pentecostals — there was music and dancing and hollering. Everyone is happy, thought J.J. The next dwelling place was populated by Muslims who looked like they had just come off their fast and were enjoying a lavish meal. Everyone is happy, thought J.J. The next dwelling place had many Jews who were pouring over the holy books with looks of ecstacy that the could do that all the time. Everyone is happy, thought J.J. St. Peter said to him, “Please go by the next dwelling place on tip-toe and keep quiet.” “Why is that,” asked J.J. “That’s the Catholic dwelling place,” said St. Peter, “and they think they’re the only ones here.” In fact God can find a way to save which is beyond our categories and conditions. We will, no doubt, be surprised when we see all those that God admitted to heaven … as will they be when they see us!
