OCTOBER62019

October 4, 2019 By Church Staff

Having mustard seed faith means you begin with what you have. Do you say: “I can’t go to school today. I don’t know enough.” No, you say: “I only know a little bit. I’ve got to take what I have and learn more.” Do you say: “I can’t eat today. I don’t have enough food in the refrigerator.” No, you say: “I only have a little bit of food. I’d better get me some more.” Do you say: “I can’t pay my bills. I don’t have enough money.” No, you say: “I only have a little bit of money. I’ve got to get me some more.” If you have faith like the smallest of seeds you have a good place to start talking about God. If you have faith like the smallest of seeds you can begin to reach out to those who feel unloved. If you have faith like the smallest of seeds you can commence making time every day for prayer and reflection. If you have faith like the smallest of seeds you have enough and more than enough. For our faith is not in how strong we are; our faith is not in how intelligent we are; our faith is not in how persuasive we are. No, our faith is in the strength which comes from God, in the love of Christ Jesus, in the help of the Holy Spirit who dwells within us. Our little faith, our faith as small as the smallest seed, our mustard seed faith, will change the world.
