Jesus wants us to “let our little light shine.” That serves as a reminded of how important each one of us is in the plan of God. God depends on us to bring peace, forgiveness, compassion, love into this world as the signs of the divine presence. But it should also be the occasion for humility. Jesus wants us to let our particular light to shine. We don’t need to do everything or fix everything. We should do what we are called to do in the providence of our everyday life. While we should remain aware of the global realities our actions take place on the local level. We are to bring God into our homes, our families, our work places, our schools, our playgrounds.
